On Monday, 29 November 2010, Europcar came to the aid of Odette, one of Highveld radio's wish list beneficiaries, to provide economic relief for her and her family in 2011. Europcar settled outstanding school fees, 2011 school fees, and supplied groceries and fuel for the year – a total of R99 000.
In addition, our friends at Kia Motors joined in and generously offered Odette a Kia Picanto – plus, they are paying for her insurance for a year.

In December 2009, Europcar donated a Toyota Quantum with a wheelchair ramp to transport Viarshan to and from hospitals and therapy, for a 12-month period. The family visited us in December 2010 and we were astounded at how good Viarshan's road to recovery has been. We have extended the use of this vehicle until such time that the family no longer requires it.
We feel so privileged to have been able to assist and we have no doubt that by giving this family the use of the vehicle after what they have been through, their day-to-day lives will be just a little bit easier.
